Fees


  • Fees : ₹ 200 per Group (4 participants per group)

Problem Statement


  • Design a Bridge using Popsicle sticks (ice-cream sticks) satisfying the stated constraints

  • Conditions:


  • Eligibility: Open to B.E. / B. Tech and Polytechnic level students only. Unleash your academic knowledge and put it to the test in a fun and practical way!

  • Material: Channel your inner MacGyver! You'll be provided with the essential tools: Popsicle sticks, adhesive, and a cutter. Bridge dimensions will be revealed at the competition, so bring your strategic thinking A-game. (Don't forget your own scale, pencil, eraser, and pen - they'll be your trusty allies!)

  • Team Power: Teamwork makes the dream work! Collaborate with up to 3 fellow engineers to brainstorm, design, and build the ultimate popsicle stick bridge. Remember, communication and teamwork are key!

  • Time Crunch: Think fast and build smart! You'll have 4 hours to transform those humble popsicle sticks into a masterpiece of structural integrity and architectural wonder. Time management will be your secret weapon!

  • So, are you ready to rise to the challenge? Grab your team, unleash your creativity, and prepare to build the strongest, most innovative bridge using only popsicle sticks! Impress the judges with your engineering prowess and win bragging rights (and maybe even some awesome prizes!).


Judging Criteria:


  • Two rounds will be there viz. preliminary round and final round.

  • Preliminary round will be judged on the basis of dimensions and self-weight of the bridge as specified.

  • In final round, the model is being tested to whether it can withstand maximum load, & accordingly winner will be declared.

  • Rules & Regulations


    1. You have to only use provided material. For any malpractices will result in disqualification.

    2. A group shall not consist of more than 4 participants.

    3. Use of mobile phones or any other electronic equipment during the competition is not permitted.

    4. Early completion of the model will not add any advantage to the team but late submission will result in the deduction of points.

    5. All participants are required to report 30 min. before the event starts, to the reporting desk.

    6. Every participant should have his college identity card or at least one proof of identity. All the teams are required to bring the registration receipt with them.

    7. In case of inconvenience participants are required to seek any of the volunteers present.

    8. Any misbehavior of participant during event or round may lead to eliminate from the round he/she is currently in.

    9. All the team members must be present during the event at the specified time. If the team is absent, it will be disqualified.

    10. No extra time will be given to any team under any circumstances. Decision of the judges is final.

    11. Organizers are not responsible for any loss in property, injury and delays caused by participants during the event.

    12. If there is any damage to the tools provided or instruments then the team to which the instrument was given would be liable to pay for the damage

    13. Other instructions will be provided on the day of event.

    14. Participants are required to stay up to date with website. Cross college teams are allowed.
